We are backpacking the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains and summiting the tallest peak in New York State! The Adirondacks are wild, pristine, and beautiful. On this trip, we’ll climb three 46ers (high peaks in the Adirondacks over 4,000 feet). Skylight mountain has one of the most impressive views in the park. From its bald summit, you can see 30 other peaks. Gray mountain is a trailless, less-traveled peak, and this is your chance to add it to your 46er count. And of course, Mt. Marcy – the tallest peak in New York State and another bald summit with gorgeous views.

In between climbing mountains, we’ll be camping in the Adirondack wilderness. Two of our camps will be by beautiful forest lakes. We’ll spend the days hiking and the nights relaxing under the start, eating tasty food, and swapping stories. And the best part? The Adirondack High Peaks only allow 8 people to camp overnight, so we’ll be in a very small group – 6 participants and two guides – making it the perfect wilderness escape.

Come adventure in the Adirondacks with us!

This is a 4-day, 3 night trip. We’ll depart on Saturday, June 18th and return on Tuesday, June 21st.

Want to do this trip but not sure about your backpacking skills? Try our backpacking workshop at the end of April/beginning of May to brush up on the basics!

This trip is rated INTERMEDIATE+. It’s going to feel more challenging than a regular hiking trip, because of the extra backpack weight.

For multi-day trips, as a precaution, we ask that you get a COVID-19 test 3-5 days prior to the trip.
