Beach Hike and Seal Walk
Join us for a unique adventure to see seals in Montauk! We’ll start with a leisurely beach hike that will take us to Montauk Point Lighthouse, a National Historic Landmark.
Once we return, we’ll join a walk to see migrating seals as they come up on exposed rocks near the shoreline. “A State Park naturalist will lead visitors on a scenic beach walk to an area where up to four species of seals can be observed. Along the hike, there will be opportunities to see many winter birds and to explore marine geology. If you’d like, bring binoculars!” (The New York State Office of Parks)
After the walk, we’ll cap off the day with a meal at a local seafood restaurant (Bennett Shellfish).
Join us for a fun and unique adventure!
Please note, while we go at the time of seal migration, as with all wild animals, their behaviour is unpredictable, and sightings can’t be guaranteed.
