Our hike starts on an old wagon trail that Dutch settlers used to travel through the Catskill Mountains. We’ll hike next to a bubbling brook and stop at a waterfall before beginning the steep ascent of West Kill.  This mountain features one of the most aggressive climbs in the entire Catskills – 1,250’ in less than 1 1/2 miles – but the views at the top are some of the most beautiful in the region and worth every bit of the effort!

This is a required peak for Catskill 3500 Club Membership and #6 Catskill Tall Peak (elevation 3,898’).

What’s included:

  • NY State Licensed and Wilderness First Responder Certified Guide
  • Transportation to and from NYC (if you would like to meet us at the trailhead, please email info@adventureuntamed.com for a discount)
  • One of the best views in the Catskill mountains
