Adventurers, this winter for the first time ever, we are doing a three-hike Nose Series. Three famous ‘nose’ trails in the area: Anthony’s Nose, Gertrude’s Nose, and Vroman’s Nose. Do them all and get the Adventure Untamed Winter Nose Challenge Patch!

Anthony’s Nose is a 900+ ft peak in the Hudson Highlands along the east bank of the Hudson River. It boasts impressive views of Bear Mountain, Bear Mountain Bridge, and the Hudson River. Because of the beautiful views, it’s a popular destination, so to avoid the crowds we are doing it in December. We are doing this hike via the Camp Smith Trail with some scrambling and use of hands required, but the destination is well worth the journey. It’s beautiful, close to the city, and a part of our ‘Nose’ series! What’s not to love?

Because of the scrambles, this hike is rated INTERMEDIATE+
